The Arc of Butlers’ Circle of Friends is a club in area Butler County Schools made up of disabled students and their non-disabled peers (called “Buddies”). Buddies attend events, participate in activities, go on field trips and perform a variety show together. The Circle of Friends program is a collaborative effort with Butler County Special Education to promote positive role models, experiences, and relationships in Butler County schools.
The Arc of Butler sponsors two seasonal parties for Circle of Friends buddies and Special Education students in Butler County schools. Parties occur in October for a fun Halloween theme and again in the Spring for a Spring Fling. Students participate in games, craft activities, have lunch together, receive prizes and dance. A fall picnic happens in October for all members and participants.
